Capitol Hours

Hours are subject to change. Please note that building hours may be extended during the Legislative Session to accommodate related business.

Capitol Public Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m

Saturday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m

Public Health Precautions

  • The public may only enter via the north and south door of the Capitol.
  • A mask worn over the nose and mouth is strongly encouraged at all times inside the building.
  • The House and Senate will manage public access to their offices and assemblies. Visitors are encouraged to check with members' offices for specific guidelines.

The Capitol Grounds, Capitol Visitors Center, Bullock Museum and Texas State Cemetery are open to the public.

The Capitol Grounds are open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Capitol Visitors Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
